Hello

Hello and welcome to my blog. It's the first time I've written anything like this, but lately I've been feeling more creative and also wanting to bring some happiness into the world, and yes there are probably other ways to do that, but this is the idea I came up with at this moment in time and that is good enough for me!

I find it is so easy to become bogged down by things that are going on in life, if a day goes poorly it can really spiral out of control. While it is alright to have a low period and let all your emotions out, it is important to find a way to stand back up again and show the world who is boss.

How that is accomplished depends on the individual, I saw a post recently that said the best way to stop yourself from spiralling is to interrupt yourself with "Girl what are you talking about!", and while I applaud the idea of making negative emotions doubt themselves, personally I prefer to focus on something positive. A little reminder of even the smallest positive moment can be all it takes to realise that everything will be okay, and no matter what is happening right now, that everything will work out just fine.

This picture from the Gardens by the Bay always lifts my spirits. I visited Singapore as I always wanted to go when I was younger, and now just thinking about how happy I was there, is often enough to cheer me up immediately. What was once a dream to a young me became possible through my own efforts and will power. With a little adventurous spirit and an unwavering belief that I can do anything I put my mind to, as sometimes a little self confidence is all it takes, if something makes me feel down then Singapore is only a flight away...

So here I am, aiming to spread a little positivity by unashamedly doing the things I like to do! I am not trying to say that these are the things everyone should do to be happy, we are all different and have different likes, dislikes, opinions, dreams, the list goes on. If anything I hope that this can provide a little reminder that we are all our own individual people who are often just trying to get through the day, but whatever we are doing, whatever we enjoy, however we make it to the next day, just by trying and by being ourselves we are already doing enough, and that is okay.
